What are the best hair products for a modern mullet with texture and hold?

Two layers. A pre-styler on damp hair to build grip and volume which is usually a texture spray sea salt spray or light mousse. Then a finisher for hold and separation which is a matte clay paste or a light cream depending on how much movement you want.

Clay gives a drier matte finish with strong grip and suits straight or wavy hair that goes limp. Paste is a bit more pliable so you can reshape through the day and it suits thicker hair. Cream is the softest and works for curls or if you just want the back to sit rather than spike.

Less than you think. Start with a pea size for the ends and the crown then add if needed. Most flat mullets we see are over-producted not under-producted. Emulsify it fully in your palms first then work from the back forward so the front does not get the heaviest load.
